Each day we make a multitude of transactions with the outside world, evidenced in the ebb and flow of objects in and out of our living environment. With the aim of shedding light on this most basic of functions, normally hidden within plain sight, I established a set of rules to guide the photographic documentation of the objects that crossed the threshold of my apartment, during a three months period, creating a visual inventory. My protocols for this project eliminated packaging, people, and the redundancy of the consistently everyday, such as handbag, keys, wallet, phone. Relative scale was sacrificed in order to give equal visual importance to the 292 objects captured, regardless of their size. Here I have included images that provide a portrait, of the first month of spring.
